We are all concerned about alcohol-related problems within Sydney and across NSW. No one should have to put up with inappropriate drunken behaviour on a fun night out.
Hassle Free Nights is a comprehensive plan to reduce alcohol-related crime and anti-social drunken behaviour in our main entertainment districts. It builds on the tough but effective action already taken by the Government which targets the most violent licensed premises in NSW. 2009 saw an unprecedented reduction in the number of assaults.
Hassle Free Nights focuses on locally tailored solutions and a cooperative approach between NSW Police, Government agencies, licensed premises and communities.
Among other things, Hassle Free Nights provides increased late night transport options across targeted entertainment districts, strengthened regulation of the most violent licensed premises and powers to regulate trading hours. To find out more, read the documents below.
