How to use this Site

Search

The Search facility is the fastest way to obtain a list of links to the information and services you require.

The Search box is located in the top right hand corner on all the www.nsw.gov.au web pages. To use the search, type in a keyword/s and press enter or click 'Go', e.g. type in HSC press enter.

Search Results Page:

• Links are listed in 'Rank' order following a keyword search. There is also the option to sort by Agency or by Title
• In addition to the link title, the search results page uses a house icon where applicable to highlight an official Home Page. The organisation associated with the link is also displayed for further reference, eg Federal Government, Local Government, Other and NSW Government agencies are identified and listed in blue.
• Click on a link title to go to the relevant web page.

Popular Searches

A link to the 'Popular Searches' page is located on the Home Page, www.nsw.gov.au or in the sub menus. Click on the mouse icon or the label 'Popular Searches' to view a categorised list of popular searches. This page is very useful for gaining an understanding of the types of searches people conduct on a regular basis, eg Jobs, Maps, Parliament etc.

For those visitors who prefer to browse and gain a better understanding of the depth of government information available, the links to government information and services within the NSW Government website are categorised and cross referenced under 11 main topic areas, Business, Country NSW, Culture & Recreation, Education, Emergency Services, Employment, Environment, Health, Law & Justice, Property & Housing and Transport.

The Life Events area has been designed to group information and services by significant events in a person's life, eg getting a job, getting married, having a baby, buying a property etc.

This section groups information and services according to communities of interest such as: Building Communities, Indigenous, Men, Seniors, Women and Youth.

Announcements, Events and Featured Service

Announcements and Events are updated on a regular basis to provide information on recent announcements and up coming events. The Featured Service section showcases NSW Government online services.
