Destination NSW's largest regional tourism promotion ever

The NSW Government has launched the largest regional NSW tourism promotion of its type in the State’s history.

The campaign is offering $1 million worth of discount accommodation vouchers worth $200 each aimed at encouraging Sydneysiders to take short holidays to regional NSW.

The campaign also includes a significant tourism first for Australia, using cutting-edge special effects technology to bring to life some of regional NSW most iconic holiday experiences.

The innovative technology looks to give Sydneysiders a taste of what’s in store across regional NSW, and invites shoppers to meet some of the locals of NSW – including whales, dolphins, kangaroos and pelicans.

The ground breaking augmented reality activation is being showcased at Westfield Bondi Junction, Parramatta, Miranda and Chatswood.

Over the first four days of the Westfield promotion, more than 5,000 shoppers have actively participated in ‘meeting the locals’, with the ratio for participation verses watching at approximately 4:1, meaning over 21,600 shoppers watching in the immediate promotional space.

Destination NSW also reports 4,200 vouchers redeemed and over 32,000 visits to their website pages since the start of the campaign.

More information on the campaign can be found on the Visit NSW website.
