Applying for a Seniors' card

The scheme is free to join, is not assets-tested and you are not required to disclose your income. To qualify, you must be a New South Wales permanent resident, aged 60 or over and work no more than 20 hours a week.

Public transport concessions

The NSW Government provides subsidised or concession travel to a wide range of people within specified target groups.

Senior travel concessions

NSW or interstate holders of a Seniors Card are entitled to half fare concessions on the metropolitan and outer metropolitan public transport network and three special daily excursion tickets.

Promoting the rights of people with disability, who require a companion, to fair ticketing at events and venues.

Disability public transport concessions

People holding a NSW or interstate Vision Impaired Person's Pass, their approved attendants and attendants accompanying holders of a Companion Card are all entitled to free travel on a range of transport services in NSW. In addition, people holding an Assistance Animal Permit are entitled to take their identified assistance animal on these transport services free of charge.
