Book a driving/licence test
You can book a Driver Knowledge Test (DKT), Driving Test, Hazard Perception Test (HPT), Driver Qualification Test (DQT) or rider training and testing all online.

If you have a drivers licence and are moving house, you'll need to notify the newly named Roads and Maritime Services of your new address.
Young drivers

Getting your Learner Licence
You need a valid licence to drive a vehicle in NSW. To get your learner licence you need to be 16 years of age or older.

Recreational boating licence
In NSW, you must have a boat driver’s licence to drive a powered vessel for recreational purposes at a speed of 10 knots or more.

New to NSW
If you are a driver or motorcyclist who has moved to NSW you will need to make arrangements to get a NSW driver or rider licence.
Visitors to NSW
If you're visiting from interstate or overseas, you can use your current licence as long as your visitor status remains unchanged and your licence is valid.
