NSW Statewide Forecast

A high pressure ridge lies across the state. A cold front from the Southern Ocean is forecast to reach western parts of New South Wales on Thursday, before a low develops over the state in response to an upper-level trough. The positioning of this system is currently uncertain, but it is expected to bring rain to most districts as it moves east during Friday and Saturday, with the majority of the rainfall expected from the slopes and plains, through to the coast. The low pressure system is expected to move away over the ocean by the early parts of next week.
