About the project
Planning is underway for a new Community and Justice Precinct in Campbelltown, supported by $1.2 million in joint funding from the Federal and NSW Governments under the Western Sydney City Deal. The precinct will expand court facilities and improve access to justice and community services for the region’s growing population.
Bradfield Development Authority's role
The Bradfield Development Authority, in partnership with the Federal Government, other NSW Government agencies, and Campbelltown City Council, led the preparation of a master plan for the precinct.
The master plan considered built form elements and provision of new civic and public open spaces. It was supported by technical studies on infrastructure servicing, sustainability and transport.
The master plan also explored options for new civic and community facilities, commercial office space, retail and an educational campus to complement the justice services.

The precinct master plan will reflect the values and aspirations of Campbelltown residents and address the needs of people living in the Macarthur and the broader Western Sydney regions.
The Bradfield Development Authority undertook community consultation in June 2022. You can read the consultation outcomes in the Community Consultation Insights Report on the Campbelltown City Council website.
The State government and Council are now considering pathways to implement the master plan in stages.
