On Tuesday 15 to Wednesday 16 October, NSW graduate films of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) will be on exhibit – come see the works of Australia’s up and coming filmmakers!

Haymarket Creative Tenant Spotlight

Floating Leaf Pictures is a filmmaking collective founded by David Ma, Johnathan Lo and Georgia Noe to produce independent films in their hometown of Sydney, Australia. Since coming together, Floating Leaf Pictures have produced three key projects with more short films in post-production and two feature films in early development stage.

ExMateria is a contemporary, sustainable weaving studio that transforms unwanted materials into new items. Launched as a creative response to the growing problem of textile waste, ExMateria offers weaving classes and floor loom hire at their city-based studio in Haymarket. Taking inspiration from urban patterns, geometric forms, and the technical possibilities of the loom, they bring ancient skills into a modern context.

Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO) is a leading youth arts organisation dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians in Australia. With a mission to foster musical excellence, SYO offers a comprehensive program that combines rehearsals, tutorials, workshops, and public performances, allowing young people to develop their skills under the guidance of professional conductors, educators, and mentors.

The Cave Creative was founded by Haydn Butler and Vanessa Arden-Wood with a collective 20+ years' experience in broadcast television, commercial and digital media spanning the UK and Australia. The Cave Creative recently finished their first Feature Film, Home Kills, which premiered at the NZIFF.

The House that Dan Built (The House) raises girls’ voices and advances women's careers. To be heard, to connect, to share joy. The House's program of activities is a strategic investment toward generating vocal performances suitable for programming by venues, festivals and events synonymous with artistic excellence; and propelling the careers of the next generation of female composers, songwriters and performers locally, regionally, nationally.
