Overview of this event
Join us for a fascinating author talk with Michel Vimal du Monteil. His latest novel, Where To Now, is an action-packed tale of deception, danger, and revenge. This ‘unputdownable ripper of a yarn’ hurtles from a flooded Australian town to the depths of the Sumatran jungle, and the high seas, where betrayal and murder lurk at every turn. This author talk is on Wednesday 25 March 2026 from 11am – 12pm. Bookings essential. Copies of Michel’s book will be available for sale and signing. Where To Now was published by Hawkeye Publishing, Brisbane. Born in provincial France, Michel moved to Australia in 1979, initially as an international trade consultant. He then had a stint running a windsurfing school in the Whitsundays and worked at SBS TV in its early days. He was a voice-over artist, a translator, a conference interpreter and an investment banker. Michel’s eclectic background informs his writing, navigating the fine line between fact and fiction.
