Event information
The Old Liverpool Courthouse was originally built in 1819 as a convict barracks (the second oldest in NSW after Hyde Park Barracks) and was used as a courthouse until 1972 - so for more than 150 years it was the place where the values of the day were tested and judged.
Recent archaeology has revealed much about the building's development and now, during the Seniors Festival, you can explore the site under the guidance of an archaeologist before we act out our own version of some of the trials of old Liverpool, right where most of them originally took place, with a storyteller to bring the stories to life.
Please join us for a fun and enlightening day - and let us know if you want to be on trial yourself! Wednesday 12 March 10.00am - 12.00 pm Old Liverpool Courthouse Corner of Bigge and Moore St Liverpool
