Overview of this event
A trivial comedy for serious people. Oscar Wilde’s seminal farce of misappropriated identity, muffins and a misplaced handbag returns! Jack has been getting his brother Ernest out of scrapes for years. Algernon has been dining with Ernest for months, Gwendolen and Cecil are both engaged to Ernest. Lady Augusta Bracknell has just discovered that Ernest was found as a baby in a most unusual, undesirable, and unfashionable location.
Now, all of Ernest’s lies are coming home to roost – starting with the fact that Ernest doesn’t exist.
