Overview of this event
West Ryde Library will be hosting a lifesaving information session in Cantonese& English for those aged 60 years and over. This session provides an invaluable opportunity to learn or refresh essential lifesaving skills, helping you respond confidently to emergencies involving CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) use. No matter your age, you can make a difference and save a life. Discover how to assess and manage risks for your family or friends, and gain hands-on skills to handle emergencies. A special morning tea will be provided for all attendees. In this session you will gain knowledge and experience of CPR and the use of an AED by taking part in an interactive hands-on session detailing DRSABCD and how to communicate with ‘000’ when an emergency occurs.
