Overview of this event
Held in the cool of the evening, this atmospheric tour invites you to experience Rookwood as dusk settles over its historic grounds. We'll wander through the Old Anglican and Catholic sections, sharing stories of some of the cemetery's most intriguing residents such as bushranger Captain Moonlite, shorthand pioneer Jacob Pitman and trailblazing feminist Louisa Lawson. Important Information: Enter from East Street entrance, arrive at St Michael's Chapel off William Drive at 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start. This is a walking tour. This is a paid event with proceeds raised by the Friends of Rookwood going towards restoration projects within the cemetery.
