Funding acknowledgment responsibilities
If you, or the organisation you work for, are a recipient of NSW Government funding for an infrastructure or capital works project, you must acknowledge NSW Government correctly on various communications as a condition of that funding.
Funding can be incoming to or outgoing from the NSW Government (or even between NSW Government departments).
All funding acknowledgements must be approved by NSW Government.
It’s the role of the NSW Government representative from the department who organised your funding to help ensure that you acknowledge NSW government funding correctly and provide approvals. They can:
- confirm any specific acknowledgement obligations of your funding agreement.
- provide the correct logos, artwork templates or wording for acknowledgment statements.
- inform you what communications you need to acknowledge NSW Government funding on.
- review and approve any proposed acknowledgement or artwork before sign-off, publication, or production.
Always check your funding agreement for any specific acknowledgement obligations and, if you’re still unsure, contact your funding representative.
If there are no specific acknowledgment requirements detailed in your funding agreement, you still need to acknowledge the government’s contribution by following the general guidance applicable to your funding amount below.
