The NSW Government is committed to giving our kids the best start in life. That means delivering the very best school infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population, and to support modern, flexible teaching and learning.
Since 2011, the NSW Government has completed 176 new and upgraded schools, (including 44 new or relocated schools and 132 major school upgrades) delivered approximately 2,930 new classrooms and created more than 50,650 additional student places. This is in addition to ongoing investment in our existing portfolio of over 2,200 schools around the state, ensuring they are fit for the changing needs of our students.
