The official opening of the new Western Sydney Startup Hub (WSSH)

Tonight is an absolutely fabulous moment for all of us opening the Western Sydney startup Hub.
I think this is a great example of cross-government collaboration. All the different departments, Property, Greater Cities Commission DEIT, Investment New South Wales within that fabulous work. 
So the startup community in New South Wales is growing really dramatically and we saw a good opportunity in Western Sydney to support more entrepreneurs, innovators and change-makers to grow their idea.
Proximity is really important, that's how these innovation hubs work and connecting in with all of that infrastructure, that expertise is really unique nationwide.
So I always wanted to start up Hub in Parramatta area. When this was announced I was excited, I said I want to be here. So I was the first one to reach out to the organisers, and so I'm really glad to be here.
The people in startups like to be together, like to work together, to learn off each other. So it's a fabulous thing for Western Sydney to have a place like this.

Western Sydney Pre-Accelerator Program

Supported by the NSW Government this free, early-stage program with fully funded places is designed for startup founders and aspiring entrepreneurs based in Western Sydney. Over 6 weeks, participants gain hands-on experience, build strong business foundations, and connect with a vibrant innovation community.
