About the hub
The Westmead HealthTech Hub is in Westmead, Australia’s largest health precinct. Westmead is home to some of Australia’s biggest clinical trials. The precinct’s focus includes medical research, cell and gene therapies, precision medicine, devices, and assistive technologies.
Opened in March 2024, the hub helps to drive rapid commercialisation of life-changing research.

The hub’s operator – Cicada Innovations
The Westmead Innovation Ecosystem Fund awarded a $7.8 million grant to Cicada Innovations to run the Westmead HealthTech Hub.
Cicada Innovations is Australia’s flagship deep tech incubator.
