Who we are
Your information is being collected by the Office of Responsible Gambling - Hospitality and Racing, part of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport.
Why we collect your information
We collect personal information for the purposes of processing receipts for payment of the value of expired gaming machine tickets or unclaimed jackpot prizes to the Secretary under the Gaming Machines Regulation 2019.
The kinds of information we collect
We may collect the following information:
- Venue name.
- Liquor licence number.
- Period covered by the payment.
- Licensee title, first name and last name.
- Licensee email address and contact telephone number.
- Receipt number provided by payee’s bank for the payment.
- The amount being paid.
We are authorised to collect this information under Gaming Machines Regulation 2019 clauses 84 (1) and 109.
If you fail to provide some or all of the information requested by the due date, you may have to pay a penalty of up to $5,500 if you fail to submit this payment to the Secretary.
You must keep us informed of changes to your information. You can update your information with us by emailing cdfpayments@responsiblegambling.nsw.gov.au

We may collect personal information directly from our interactions with you over the phone, over the internet, in person, or in writing when you submit a form or update your details or information.
How we use information
We may use the information we collect to:
- Enter the details provided into the relevant system to process a receipt for the payment.
- Contact you for the purpose of processing your application.
We may also use your information for other directly related purposes.
Who we share information with
We will not disclose your information to anybody else, except:
- As outlined in this Notice or in our Privacy statement.
- When you have given your consent.
- Where we are authorised to do so by law.
Department of Customer Service
We are partnered with Digital NSW (part of the Department of Customer Service) who assist us with our business operations by providing software and storing customer data on our behalf. Digital.NSW have a privacy statement which outlines their contact details, and information about how they look after this data.
How long we keep information for
We will only keep information for as long as we need it to fulfil the purposes, we collected it for. After which, the information will be disposed of securely in accordance with the State Records Act 1998, and any other applicable legislation.

We maintain a Privacy Management Plan which outlines how we comply with NSW privacy laws, and the measures we have in place to help protect personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure, or other misuse.
