Special Event Extended Trading is an initiative under the Section 13 of the Liquor Act 2007 where extended trading hours for licenced premises can be declared for events that hold regional, State, or national significance.
The extended trading hours apply to venues automatically, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the event. Eligible venues do not need to apply or register to access the extended trading. Relevant conditions are listed in the table below.
