Liquor accord events in NSW

The 2025 Liquor Accord Forum took place  on Wednesday 9 April 2025 at Aerial Function Centre in Ultimo, Sydney.

Please note, this will be the only Liquor Accord Forum for 2025.

The 2024 Liquor Accord Forum took place on 28 May 2024, at Newcastle City Hall in Newcastle, NSW. The event brought together over 115 delegates from across NSW to network and discuss key topics, including our delivery plans, regulatory priorities, the new vibrancy and gaming reforms and innovative initiatives from various accords addressing local issues.

Some highlighted initiatives were:

• Gulgong accord's community bus service
• Hastings accord's new website
• Albury accord's Pause/Play program educating young patrons on venue behaviour expectations
• explanations of the Barred From One, Barred From All program, illustrating real-life scenarios.

The second Liquor Accord Forum for 2023 was held on 10 October 2023, at the ParkRoyal, Darling Harbour, NSW.

More than 125 delegates came together from across NSW to hear from representatives from a number of accords who have rolled out unique initiatives and campaigns to address issues in their local areas. Panel discussions covering regulatory operations and compliance, multi-venue barring and attracting and retaining members were also a highlight.

The forum was a great opportunity for liquor accord executive and members to network with peers and share insights.

really it's just an opportunity to network with industry and other government agencies 

and you really get a lot from making those connections here

that you can bring further into your work going forward 

 

I think it's amazing to have the backing of the network and for

support for all the members of the accords 

to have some insight direct from the industry as well

and I see how the key is the network, and I think it's great.

 

Since the last liquor Accord there

been a change of government, a change of

ministers, a split of some of the

portfolios between the ministers 

it's great to see that you guys have uh

continued 100% on your focused journey.

 

So I really like that the panel with

everyone, engagement 

um it was also great to hear from the police in different areas.

 

I would absolutely attend this event again they're really valuable and

I would recommend anybody who's involved in a liquor accord to come along

The first Liquor Accord Forum for 2023 was held on 5 April at the Aerial Function Centre, Ultimo, NSW.

The forum featured the launch of our Just…Don’t patron behaviour campaign, and the Liquor Accord Strategy 2023-2025.

On Monday 7 November 2022, we hosted our annual Liquor Accord Forum online where more than 100 attendees came together to discuss practical solutions for addressing alcohol-related issues. 

The forum program included a number of keynote presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions. A recording of the session is available on our YouTube channel.

We held our first Liquor Accord Conference on 23 October 2019. The conference program included several keynote presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions, as well as opportunities for attendees to network with Liquor & Gaming NSW staff, industry representatives and their peers.
