Bathurst 1000
The 2025 Bathurst 1000 will be held from Thursday 9 October to Sunday 12 October.
This international event sees an increase in visitors to the Bathurst region, including patrons attending licensed venues.
What do I need to do?
All licensees and business owners should review their current practices and consider if any additional measures may need to be implemented in the weeks leading up to the event.
Venue operators should revisit their compliance framework to ensure their current operating model is sufficient to manage additional patronage and ensure a safe environment. This should include:
- ensuring all training requirements (licensee and staff) are current. This includes Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Licensee and Advanced Licensee training
- adequate security guards and RSA Marshals are rostered to work
- reminders to staff of RSA related policies, such as refusing the service of liquor to intoxicated patrons
- practices are put in place to manage minors
- processes are implemented to ensure minimal community impact, such as noise disturbance
- current signage and incident register book are being used.
Extended trading
Some venues in the area are subject to extended trading. If you fall into this category, particular conditions apply and its important you review and understand what is expected. Read more about Bathurst 1000 extended trading.
