Changes to liquor trading restrictions for Easter and Anzac Day

Trading times for licensed premises operating over the Easter period depend on the licence class and individual trading restrictions. In addition, restrictions apply to trading over this period in the Liquor Act 2007. A table of the 2025 Easter period restrictions by licence type can be found on the licence conditions web page.

Changes to Anzac Day retail trading hours

Most retail shops will be closed on Anzac Day to ensure the service of veterans is recognised and people are able to take part in services throughout the day. This means many shops that previously opened after 1pm can no longer trade.
