Further hearings confirmed for Drake Inquiry into GRNSW

The new hearing dates are:

• Thursday 16 October – 10am to 4pm
• Monday 21 October – 10am to 4pm
• Tuesday 22 October – 10am to 4pm
• Wednesday 23 October - 10am to 4pm
• Thursday 24 October – 10am to 7pm
• Friday 25 October – 10am to 7pm

At this stage, witnesses in October include current or former employees of GRNSW.

All hearings are held in the Fair Work Commission hearing rooms at 80 William St East Sydney. There is no livestreaming.

Some of the witnesses appearing in October are anticipated to be heard publicly, or part-publicly, and others will be heard privately.

Witnesses may seek to be heard in private at any time, and the Acting Commissioner may exercise her power under Part 8 of the Greyhound Racing Act 2017 to direct that the Inquiry take place in private at any time. Accordingly, a full witness list cannot be released.

Under the Act, the Acting Commissioner will make a determination regarding hearing formats on a case-by-case basis.
