You can be fined if you work without a current NSW competency card, interim certificate, or digital licence - or if you allow employees to work without one.
The table below sets out the amount payable if an authorised officer, including NSW Police Force or Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) Inspector, issues you with a penalty notice.
Fines are much higher in the Kings Cross and Sydney CBD Entertainment Prescribed Precincts.
Maximum penalty amounts referred to in the tables are outlined in the sections of the: Gaming Machines Act 2001, the Liquor Regulation 2018 and Gaming Machines Regulation 2019
