3.9 Fairfield


Supporting Fairfield’s nightlifeFairfield is emerging as a leading Western Sydney nightlife precinct with renowned eat streets offering a range of cuisines, street art and bars. Fairfield Council will establish two Special Entertainment Precincts, both along Canley Vale Road – one at Canley Heights and the other at Canley Vale. Fairfield Council will receive a Special Entertainment Precinct Kickstart Grant of $183,308. The council aims to establish the trial phase of the Special Entertainment Precinct by the end of 2025. |

Health
- Continuation of the $550.0 million Fairfield Hospital redevelopment, to deliver more beds, increase the capacity of critical care services, and expand other hospital and ambulatory care services.
Education
- Work is ongoing to progress delivery of the NSW Government’s 100 public preschools commitment at:
- Cabramatta West Public School
- Carramar Public School
- Edensor Park Public School
- Fairfield West Public School
- Governor Philip King Public School
- Lansvale East Public School
- Mount Pritchard Public School
- Prairievale Public School
- Villawood North Public School
- William Stimson Public School.
- Upgrades to Lansvale East Public School to renew the school’s hall, administration and staff facilities.
- Upgrades to St Johns Park High School to deliver new air conditioning to the school hall.
- Investment in attracting and retaining teachers led to schools in Fairfield starting the 2025 school year with 29.6 per cent fewer vacancies than the same time in 2023, and 54.2 per cent fewer vacancies from the peak of the teacher shortage crisis.
- Funding for the TAFE NSW Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Excellence at Wetherill Park, which will provide training and education for the future manufacturing workforce. Detailed planning is underway, with the centre set to open for delivery in late 2027.
Transport
- $580.1 million over four years for Elizabeth Drive Upgrades, jointly funded by the NSW and Australian Government.
- $123.4 million over four years for The Horsley Drive, M7 Motorway to Cowpasture Road, jointly funded by the NSW and Australian Government.
- $116.2 million over four years towards the M12 Motorway to support access to the Western Sydney International Airport, and improve the movement of freight in and through Western Sydney.
