Delivering a new Fire Control Centre for HawkesburyThe NSW Government has worked with Hawkesbury City Council to secure a location for the Hawkesbury Fire Control Centre, with site designs now being finalised. The NSW Government is committed to the safety and resilience of the Hawkesbury region, with work progressing for the Fire Control Centre in Wilberforce which will also include a co-located Emergency Operations Centre and NSW State Emergency Service unit base, forming the broader Hawkesbury Emergency Services Precinct. |

Education
- Upgrades to specialist facilities at Windsor High School as part of the High Potential and Gifted Education Partner School Program.
Continuation of:
- the new Richmond Agricultural Centre, formally the Agriculture Centre of Excellence, co-located with Western Sydney University – Hawkesbury campus
- maintenance and minor works across public schools, including upgrades at Ebenezer Public School
- investment in attracting and retaining teachers led to schools in Hawkesbury starting the 2025 school year with 17 per cent fewer vacancies than the same time in 2023, and 39 per cent fewer vacancies from the peak of the teacher shortage crisis.
Transport
Continuing to deliver roads for the Hawkesbury region:
- $455.3 million over four years for the new Richmond Bridge over the Hawkesbury River, and traffic improvements between Richmond and North Richmond, jointly funded by the NSW and Australian Governments
- $88.0 million over four years for the Pitt Town Bypass to reduce traffic through the town centre, improve safety and enhance flood resilience
- $60.3 million for the Bells Line of Road Upgrade program, to enable a safer journey between the Blue Mountains and Richmond (Australian Government funded).
Communities and Justice
- Boosting the local emergency response by building a new Fire Control Centre in Wilberforce, on the corner of Kurmond and McKinnons roads.
Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water
- Continuation of the $170.0 million Richmond Water Recycling and Wastewater Treatment Plant Consolidation to meet the needs of Richmond’s growing population.
Local commitments
- $6.8 million towards the Windsor River Users Hub (Australian Government funded).
- $6.7 million towards the Fernadell Community Centre and District Level Park (Australian Government funded).
