3.10 Liverpool


New public preschool opened in LiverpoolThe first of 100 public preschools promised by the NSW Government opened in October 2024, welcoming up to 80 preschoolers each week. Co-locating with Gulyangarri Public School in Liverpool will ease students’ transition into kindergarten and full-time schooling. The name Gulyangarri was chosen because it means ‘children’ in the Darug language. |

Health
- Continuation of the $780.0 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct, which will transform Liverpool Hospital into a clinical hub for innovation and medical research.
Education
- Work is ongoing to progress delivery of the NSW Government’s 100 public preschools commitment at Cartwright Public School, Cecil Hills Public School, Greenway Park Public School, Heckenberg Public School and Miller Public School.
- Upgrades to specialist facilities at Lurnea High School, James Busby High School and Casula High School as part of the High Potential and Gifted Education Partner School Program.
- Continuation of: Austral Public School Upgrade, including a new preschool, Cecil Hills High School Upgrade, Dalmeny Public School Upgrade, Edmonson Park – new high school, Greenway Park Public School Upgrade and Liverpool High School (provisional) redevelopment.
- Investment in attracting and retaining teachers led to schools in Liverpool starting the 2025 school year with 23.3 per cent fewer vacancies than the same time in 2023, and 29.1 per cent fewer vacancies from the peak of the teacher shortage crisis.
Transport
- $1.0 billion for the first stage of the Fifteenth Avenue Upgrade between Liverpool and the new airport (funded with the Australian Government).
- $50.0 million for critical roads upgrades across the Aerotropolis.
- $39.0 million for planning for the Devonshire Road, Devonshire Link Road and Bradfield Metro Link Road jointly funded by the NSW and Australian Governments.
Continuation of:
- $3.6 billion over four years for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport, delivering six new metro stations to service the future Western Sydney International Airport and Aerotropolis
- new bus services to the new Western Sydney International Airport and to Parramatta.
Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water
- Continuation of the $1.1 billion Upper South Creek Water Recycling Centre, one of the most advanced water recycling facilities in the Southern Hemisphere.
Planning, Housing and Infrastructure
- $42.2 million to operate a new 24-hour fire station at Badgerys Creek.
- Continuing support for the Aerotropolis with $870.6 million for Bradfield City Centre Stage 1 Enabling Works and $261.9 million for the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility.
