Budget Paper No.03 Infrastructure Statement

Purpose and scope

Budget Paper No. 3, Infrastructure Statement, provides details of the Government’s infrastructure investment program over the next four years. The objectives of this Budget Paper are to:

• provide a clear account of the State’s planned capital program, including new works and works in progress
• detail the allocation of resources to infrastructure projects in the current budget and across the forward estimates for both the general government and public non-financial corporation sectors
• demonstrate how infrastructure investment supports the Government’s priorities and service delivery objectives, including the underpinning policies and strategies.

The infrastructure investment program includes all projects that create or enhance NSW Government Assets across the State, this includes Property, Plant and Equipment, Leases and Information, Communication and Technology Assets.

This Budget Paper provides project level detail of infrastructure investment by agencies that are material to the general government and public non-financial corporation sectors. The Budget Paper also provides the total planned investment across all minor works for each agency.
