Purple Flag Precincts in NSW
Since the launch of the Purple Flag pilot program in 2023, four precincts across NSW have received the prestigious Purple Flag accreditation.
YCK

Accredited: February 2023
Set across York, Clarence and Kent Streets in the Sydney City CBD and known for its dynamic mix of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues, YCK is Sydney's first accredited Purple Flag area.
Parramatta CBD

Accredited: June 2023
Parramatta’s Purple Flag precinct is a vibrant hub of over 80 venues, including dining, retail, theatres, a stadium and cinema—all with safe, easy access to public transport, taxis and 24-hour parking.
Haldon Street, Lakemba

Accredited: September 2023
Lakemba’s Purple Flag precinct, centred on Haldon Street, is a vibrant and multicultural destination known for its late-night dining, dessert spots and buzzing grocers. The precinct is home to over 160 businesses offering a rich mix of Middle Eastern, Indian, Asian and classic pub dining, alongside popular events like the Ramadan Night Markets.
Illawarra Road and Marrickville Road, Marrickville

Accredited: July 2024
Marrickville’s Purple Flag precinct celebrates the suburb’s vibrant mix of multicultural dining and live music, stretching along Illawarra and Marrickville Roads. With iconic Vietnamese and Greek eateries and beloved venues like Lazy Bones and Gasoline Pony, it’s a proudly recognised night-time destination with global appeal.
