Autogas mechanics should be aware of the gas supply regulations

Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2018 provides the regulatory framework for autogas as well as:

  • gas appliances connected to networks and non-networks
  • gas installations
  • licensed gas fitters
  • the testing of gas meters.

Autogas licence holders from another state can work in NSW

NSW recognises autogas licences from other states and territories. After notifying the NSW licensing authority, you can carry out autogas:

  • installations
  • service, or
  • repairs.
