Buy Regional is going global

Woodworkers

Building on the success of Buy Regional, the online marketplace that has connected more than 500 regional businesses with customers across NSW, regional business owners can now reach global consumers too.

The NSW Export Assistance Package offers financial and other assistance to help connect small businesses based in rural and regional NSW to international distributors and consumers, through two programs:

Export Assistance Grant Program

The Export Assistance Grant program  scheme offers grants of up to $10,000, matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis, to reimburse exporters for expenses incurred developing markets offshore. Applications open soon.

Going Global Program

The Going Global Program provides export coaching, networking and in-market assistance for export-ready businesses.

#BuyRegional business Margra Lamb

“We’re a family farm that’s changing the boundaries. We’re doing R&D and we’re actually creating a new product that’s got some pretty unique eating qualities. Developing markets overseas is an important part of our plan to support that work. "Exporting is a great way for regional businesses to stay competitive and build resilience, despite the challenges of COVID-19.” – Graham Gilmore, Margra Lamb.
