$3000 grants for small business

Eligible small businesses can apply for recovery grants of up to $3000. 

This grant helps small businesses get back to business by meeting the costs of safely reopening or upscaling operations.

The grant can be used to make fit-out changes, provide staff training and counselling, cover advertising and communications expenses and purchase cleaning products or services. 

This grant can only be used for purchases of eligible expenses made from 1 July 2020, and only where no other government support is available.

$10,000 grants for small business

Applications for Small Business Support Fund grants closed on Tuesday, 30 June 2020.

More than 42,000 businesses have benefited from grants of up to $10,000.

These grants are helping small business owners impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to pay expenses like phone bills and rates. 

Successful applicants will have the payment transferred within 10 business days.

Cash flow for employers payments

The Australian Government's Boosting cash flow for employers payment provides $20,000 to $100,000 to eligible small and medium-sized businesses, and not for profits that:

  • employ people
  • have an aggregated annual turnover under $50 million.

The Australian Taxation Office will deliver the payment as a credit to the business on lodgment of their activity statements. No new forms are required.

Creative Kids and Create NSW grants

Create NSW is supporting Creative Kids providers and artists and small to medium arts organisations with a range of grants and other assistance.

Creative Kids providers digital adaptation grants

These grants will help eligible Creative Kids providers to offer create online learning activities.

Assistance for exporters

Small and medium exporters in NSW will benefit from almost $13 million in support programs aimed at creating jobs and supporting the regions. The support package includes an assistance grant for exporters.

The $10,000 Export Assistance Grant will be available for up to 1,000 export ready or export capable NSW businesses, helping them access new markets or re-enter old ones where business has ceased. 

Grants will be provided on a matched funding basis.

Loan guarantees

The Australian Government will guarantee 50% of new loans issued by eligible financial institutions to small-to-medium enterprises (including sole traders and not-for-profits).

Financial counselling for small businesses in regional areas

The Australian Government has committed more than $4.7 million to provide small regional businesses affected by COVID-19 with access to free and confidential financial counselling.

The funding would help eligible small businesses access the immediate advice and assistance they need to keep afloat and navigate the road to recovery.
