COVID-19 Safety Plans
We've developed this COVID-19 Safety Plan to help create a safe environment for conducting school formals.
There are additional industry-specific COVID-19 Safety Plans available on the NSW Government website which may also be useful when planning your school formal. This document should also be used in conjunction with the policies and procedures relevant to each education sector.
On 24 September, NSW announced that formals and graduation ceremonies for primary school students could proceed in Term 4. Secondary schools should wait until after the last written exam for the 2020 HSC, Wednesday 11 November, to hold these events to minimise any potential disruption to exam preparation and conduct.
Keep your plan up to date
You may need to update the plan in the future, as restrictions and advice changes.
Your COVID-19 Safety Plan
You can either:
- use the provided COVID-19 Safety Plan to address the checklist of matters for school formals
- keep using your existing plan, if you have one, after making sure it includes all the items in the provided COVID-19 Safety Plan.
Things to note:
Register as COVID Safe
If you've completed your COVID-19 Safety Plan, you can register as COVID Safe.
