Updated NSW Health advice – Sydney and Blue Mountains

New health advice has been issued for people in Sydney and Blue Mountains (excluding the Central Coast and Wollongong and the Illawarra).

From 4pm today (Friday 18 June) to 12.01am on Thursday 24 June 2021 you are asked to

  • avoid non-essential visits to  aged care and disability facilities, but if visiting, wear a mask and limit visits to two people per day
  • wear masks on public transport (masks will be mandatory on public transport from 4pm today).
  • masks are strongly encouraged in all public indoor venues, such as retail, theatres, hospitals, aged care facilities and for front-of-house hospitality staff.

If there are places associated with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days, they will be listed on this page.

Locations are generally removed 14 days after the last known date that a confirmed case was associated with the location.

To keep our community safe, follow NSW Health advice. If you are directed to get tested for COVID-19 or self-isolate at any time, you must follow the rules whether or not the venue or exposure setting is listed on this website.

Travelling to/from Victoria

Under the public health order, if a concerns notice is issued identifying an affected area, an area of concern or place of high concern, rules for interstate travellers will apply if you are entering or have entered NSW.

Victoria update – 11 June

From 12.01am on Friday 11 June 2021,  you no longer have to follow the stay-at-home rules if you are in NSW and visited Victoria recently. 

If you visited a place of high concern in Victoria at the date and time listed in the COVID-19 concerns notice, continue to follow the guidance for testing and self-isolation.

Travelling to/from Queensland

Queensland COVID-19 case locations

Restrictions may apply if you have travelled to/from Queensland in the past 14 days.

Check the Queensland Government's list of COVID-19 venues of concern and follow the public health requirements for testing and self-isolation.

Travellers from New Zealand 

A quarantine-free arrangement applies to certain travellers who enter NSW from New Zealand. You are not required to complete a COVID-19 declaration form for entry into NSW.

COVID-19 virus fragments detected in NSW sewage

The NSW Sewage Surveillance Program tests untreated sewage for fragments of the COVID-19 (SARSCoV- 2) virus at sewage treatment plant locations across NSW.

If you live in any of these areas you should monitor for symptoms. If you have even the mildest of symptoms (even if it appears to be a cold), get tested and self-isolate immediately. 

This catchment includes about 8,400 people and takes sewage from Glenhaven, Dural, Kenthurst, Kellyville, Castle Hill.
