COVID-19 disaster payment

The payment helps workers who are unable to earn money due to a COVID-19 lockdown or hotspot. 

Available to eligible people in a Commonwealth-declared COVID-19 hotspot.

Pandemic leave disaster payment

You may be eligible for financial support if you can't earn money because NSW Health has directed you to self-isolate or quarantine for 14 days or you are caring for someone who has COVID-19.

Test and Isolate payment now available across NSW

A one-off payment of $320 to help meet the cost of wages lost whilst self-isolating at home waiting for COVID-19 test results.

From 9 September, the Test and Isolate support payment is available to all eligible NSW workers who do not have sick, carer's or pandemic leave. 

Extreme hardship payment 

An emergency payment of $400 for people living in Greater Sydney, experiencing financial hardship who cannot access ongoing Commonwealth income support, have zero or limited income, savings or community support and are temporary or provisional visa holders, or undocumented migrants.

If your job has been affected by coronavirus

Help if you have lost your job or had your work hours changed because of COVID-19. 

For residential tenants

An eviction moratorium is in place until 11 September 2021. Landlords who decrease rent for impacted tenants can apply for a grant or land tax reductions depending on their circumstances.

For homeowners

A guide for people with home loans who are owner-occupiers and may be experiencing financial difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19.

Vouchers and rebates

The Dine & Discover NSW voucher program has been extended to 30 June 2022.  

Rebates continue to be available for individuals and households to help with the cost of living.

2021 COVID-19 Support Package

The NSW Government will provide financial assistance, support measures and tax relief to help businesses and people across the state impacted by the current COVID-19 restrictions.
