Travelling to and from NSW

From 12.01am Saturday 11 March 2023, travellers arriving in Australia from China, including Hong Kong and Macau, are no longer required to undertake pre-departure testing for COVID-19. For further information read the Australian Government media release. Read more on COVID-19 information for international arrivals.

If you develop symptoms, it is recommended you get tested for COVID-19 and stay at home or in your accommodation until your symptoms have resolved, even if you receive a negative result.

NSW Health recommends that you register your result with Service NSW if you test positive using a rapid antigen test.

Before you travel, find out if you're at higher risk of severe illness and seek advice from a doctor about antivirals.
