About

Aboriginal Affairs NSW recognises the diversity of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who live, work and play on the traditional homelands of the New England North West region. We pay our respects to the Elders of these lands as the Traditional Owners of Country and we acknowledge the continuing connection to land, waterways, sky and community of all Aboriginal people here today.

The New England North West (NENW) team have two regional office locations, within the NENW Region. The main office being based in Tamworth, and the outreach office being based in Moree.

In total the NENW Team supports 25 identified townships, 17 Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) and 7 Discrete Aboriginal Communities (DACs) across the New England North West footprint. We also provide support to numerous ACCO’s within the area and conduct outreach to other regional and remote locations.
