Summary of the inspections

In May 2025, we conducted inspections throughout the Riverina region to assess residential building compliance. The inspections focused on general building requirements, specialist electrical work, and recurring signage issues.

Inspection findings

Non-compliances identified across the board in building, related predominately to:

  • damp proof course not terminating at the outside face of the building
  • vertical control joints in masonry not continuous through window and door openings.

Trader education was used including advice that on following visits, if the same issues are identified, compliance orders may be issued.
