Have your say on NSW work health and safety regulation
Employers, workers, unions and industry experts are being encouraged to have their say on changes to the Work Health and Safety Regulation (the Regulation).
The Regulation sets out detailed rules and requirements to support the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, such as managing risks, workplace procedures and safety measures for all industries.
The remake of the Regulation provides the NSW Government with an opportunity to improve, modernise and streamline the Regulation. Public consultation will assist in making sure that changes to the Regulation remain relevant to current work practices. The consultation process is an opportunity for feedback on both the nationally harmonised elements of the Regulation, as well as those that are NSW specific.
Your feedback will help make sure the Regulation continues to reflect industry needs, protects workers and keeps the community safe.
The Work Health and Safety Regulation Remake Discussion Paper is available for review and comment on the NSW Government Have Your Say platform and will inform any necessary amendments to the Regulation.
Consultation is open from 4 February 2025 and closes 12 March 2025. To Have Your Say visit the Have you say website.
