Kempsey Service NSW Centre Gets Refreshed
The Kempsey community will enjoy an improved customer experience when completing their NSW Government transactions and services after Kempsey Service NSW Centre was recently refurbished.
The Service NSW Centre now features a new layout, new customer counters, a concierge counter to guide visitors on arrival, more customer seating, new signage and refreshed finishes throughout the centre.
Service NSW understands parts of the local community have been impacted by the recent East Coast
Severe Weather events and team members will also be able to assist at Recovery Centres with
applying for the Personal Hardship Assistance payment or Recovery Grant for Small Business and
Non-Profit Organisations, replacing identification documents or accessing other support.
As part of the East Coast Severe Weather Personal Hardship Assistance payment, eligible individuals
can receive a one-off payment of $180 or up to $900 per household to help cover costs such as food,
clothing, medicines and emergency accommodation.
The 'Recovery Grants for Small Business and Non-Profit Organisations' provides eligible applicants
grants of up to $25,000 to help them recover from the Mid North Coast floods and Tropical Cyclone
Alfred, and help pay for costs of clean-up and repairs or to re-stock and reopen where they
suffered direct damage.
Service NSW undertakes a refresh program every year to ensure centres are updated and maintained
for customers and staff such as replacing carpet and seating, adding more self-service points for
people to complete transactions, and improving the safety and security of the facility.
Kempsey Service NSW Centre opened at 55 Elbow Street, West Kempsey in 2016. There were more than
37,000 customer visits to the centre last year alone.
There was no disruption to customers accessing in-person support when the refurbishment work was
completed over the past week.
The Centre is open Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm. For more information, visit the Service NSW
website.
