List of open access information not disclosed – DCCEEW
Under section 6(5) of the GIPA Act, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) must keep a list of any open access information that it has not made publicly available due to an overriding public interest against disclosure.

Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone
The department considers there to be an overriding public interest against disclosure of some information relating to the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone project. This includes the contract value and class of contract for the:
- Project Development Deed
- Early Works Agreement
- Commitment Deed.
In addition, the department has decided that there is an overriding public interest against disclosure of a copy of these documents. Disclosure of this information could prejudice the effective exercise of the agency's functions, the legitimate business and commercial interests of multiple third parties and reveal commercial-in-confidence provisions of a government contract.
The department intends to make some of this information publicly available once the project deed is executed, expected early in 2026.
Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone TransGrid Non-contestable Augmentations Project
The department considers there to be an overriding public interest against disclosure of some information relating to the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone Transgrid Non-contestable Augmentations Project Deed ('the Deed'). This includes the contract value, reimbursable cost, events, time period, name and title of representatives for the:
In addition, the department has decided that there is an overriding public interest against disclosure of some of the provisions of the Deed. Disclosure of this information could prejudice the effective exercise of the agency’s functions, the legitimate business and commercial interests of multiple third parties, diminish the competitive commercial value of information to a person, reveal commercial-in-confidence provisions of a government contract and reveal personal information.
The department will continue to review this information to ensure that if prejudicial effects are removed or there is change of circumstances that further disclosures may be made, where appropriate to do so.
