BCT welcomes new Board member Angela Schuster
The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust welcomes the appointment of Angela Schuster to its Board.
Ms Schuster brings strong expertise in agriculture, industry and governance to the Board’s existing skill set. She is the managing director of a private consulting firm specialising in governance, standards, compliance, strategy and project management across agriculture, sustainability and agritech. Ms Schuster is also the current Board Chair of both the Agricultural Business Research Institute and the Australian Standards Technical Committee on data‑driven agrifood systems.

She also brings practical experience as a primary producer.
The Trust’s Board Chair the Hon. Niall Blair said Ms Schuster’s experience across agriculture, sustainability and governance would strengthen the organisation’s work with landholders across NSW:
“We are delighted to welcome Angela to the Board,” Mr Blair said.
“Her deep experience in governance, standards and sustainable agribusiness, together with her practical understanding as a farmer, will strengthen the way we work with landholders to protect native vegetation and biodiversity on private land.
“Her ability to bring industry, government and community stakeholders together will be invaluable as the Trust supports voluntary conservation across diverse regions and farming systems.”
Mr Blair also acknowledged the contribution of departing Board members John Maher and Jane Weatherley:
“John and Jane have made an important contribution to the work of the Trust, and I thank them for the experience they brought to the Board in support of conservation outcomes across NSW,” said Mr Blair.
