Meet the Secretary of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport, Elizabeth Mildwater, and the department’s leadership team.
Secretary
Elizabeth was appointed Secretary of the Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade on 19 October 2022, which became the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport on 1 July 2024. Prior to her appointment as Secretary, she was the CEO of the Greater Cities Commission and held leadership positions at Transport for NSW, including Deputy Secretary of:
- Greater Sydney
- Customer Technology and Services
- People and Corporate Services.
Her earlier executive roles include Director of Australian Programs for Save the Children Australia and Victorian Group General Manager for Transurban.
Elizabeth is passionate about harnessing stakeholder and employee engagement and using new technologies to improve service. She serves as a NSW Council member with the Institute of Public Administration (IPAA) and was appointed a National Fellow in October 2022.
