Each assessor will bring unique skills and experience to a robust funding assessment model for Sound NSW’s programs and help deliver impactful outcomes for contemporary music in NSW.
Through an open Expression of Interest process, Sound NSW will create a broad, inclusive pool of up to 40 assessors who reflect the diversity of the NSW music industry. All industry professionals can apply – from musicians and creators, to behind-the-scenes workers such as managers, festival organisers, venue owners, technical staff, record labels, music journalists, radio hosts, as well as leaders from music organisations.
Expressions of Interest close 8 October 2024. For further information read the FAQs
Head of Sound NSW, Emily Collins said:
“We’re calling all members of our passionate music community from across the state to get involved and help shape the future of music in NSW by becoming an Industry Assessor.
“The establishment of Sound NSW’s Industry Assessor Pool will ensure funding and support is independently assessed by qualified experts for the benefit of the whole contemporary music ecosystem.”
“This inclusive and representative assessment model will deliver meaningful outcomes for both industry and audiences. With Sound NSW’s major funding programs in the final stages of development, this is an amazing time for contemporary music in NSW.”
