Digital Records Preservation Policy review
State Records NSW is currently reviewing our Digital Records Preservation Policy, which was issued in 2007.
The purpose of the Digital Records Preservation Policy is to establish a set of principles underpinning the NSW government's approach to the preservation of digital records.
Following initial consultation with Museums of History NSW and members of our Public Sector Advisory Committee, we are proposing to broaden the scope of the policy to focus on compliance with section 14 of the State Records Act 1998.
The new policy to replace the current Digital Records Preservation Policy will be known as the Accessibility of State Records Over Time Policy.
Please provide any feedback on the proposed Accessibility of State Records Over Time Policy (DOCX 104.37KB) by COB 4 June 2025 to governance@staterecords.nsw.gov.au.
