Local Land Services provides a Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (SAF) in each region to:
- engage and inform farmers, landholders, community groups and agriculture industries within their region about climate-smart, sustainable agriculture practices
- facilitate partnerships and connections to assist farmers, landholders, community groups and agriculture industries to work together
- support the delivery of the Australian Government Climate-Smart sustainable agriculture projects in their region.
Sustainable Agriculture Facilitators are supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Natural Heritage Trust under the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program.
