Roundabout works to start in Wagga Wagga Special Activation Precinct
A local construction company has been awarded a $4.5 million contract to build the Pomeroy Drive roundabout in the Wagga Wagga Special Activation Precinct.
Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation Executive Director Willem Clasie said, after a competitive process, Excell Gray Bruni was awarded the tender for the project.
Excell Gray Bruni Pty Ltd has completed a number of local projects throughout the Riverina and Snowy Valleys LGAs including road reconstructions, pavement, earthworks and landscaping.
“The NSW Government’s Special Activation Precincts are areas that have been identified for their potential to stimulate local economies through business attraction and job creation,” Mr Clasie said.
“We’re thrilled to announce Excell Gray Bruni as our contractor for this important work. They have a well-established reputation within the Riverina, regional Victoria and beyond, and we look forward to the commencement of this work.”
Works are expected to commence this month and be completed by the end of July 2026.
Road closures will commence from 21 April until the completion of works. During this time alternative routes will be arranged with the contractors and communicated to nearby businesses. The road closures will also be updated on the Live Traffic app once finalised.
Special Activation Precincts in Moree, Parkes, Wagga Wagga and Snowy Mountains are part of the NSW Government’s major and transformative infrastructure program that will benefit regional NSW for generations to come.
