Consumers warned not to deal with Coffee Beanery Group Australia Pty Ltd

The online trader operates a business supplying and distributing coffee beans, coffee machines and associated hardware to consumers in Australia via the website "www.coffeebeanery.com.au".

Since January 2023 NSW Fair Trading has received 45 complaints against the trader with a total consumer detriment in excess of $160,000, relating to pre-paid online orders with concerns that:

consumers are not informed at the time of purchase that goods are required to be sourced from overseas;
there are substantial delays in receiving goods ordered;
goods are not delivered; and
the trader ceases communication when consumers request a refund.
