Leader Properties Investment Pty Ltd and director Wan Hao Cai disciplined for unlawful lockout
NSW Fair Trading has taken disciplinary action against Leader Properties Investment Pty Ltd and its director Wan Hao Cai following findings that the corporation breached the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 by locking out the tenant and unlawfully taking possession of a rented residential premise.
NSW Fair Trading has taken disciplinary action against Leader Properties Investment Pty Ltd and its director Wan Hao Cai following findings that the corporation breached the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 by locking out the tenant and unlawfully taking possession of a rented residential premise.
NSW Fair Trading has imposed a monetary penalty of $22,000 on Leader Properties Investment Pty Ltd, and a $11,000 monetary penalty on Ms Cai. In addition, Ms Cai has been directed to undertake specific training around tenancy and Leader Properties Investment Pty Ltd must ensure all licensed agents providing property management services also complete specific tenancy training. Both Leader Properties Investment Pty Ltd and Ms Cai have also received a reprimand.
