Public Warning - Bondi United
The NSW Fair Trading Commissioner, Ms Natasha Mann, is today issuing a public warning about Bondi United, an online trader that has been selling clothing and accessories from the websites www.bondiunited.com and www.bondiproject.com (Bondi United).
Mr Marvaldeep Singh t/as Bondi United, has at various times made representations that the founders of Bondi United have a connection with the Bondi Beach terrorist attack, or that the proceeds of sales have been given to the victims or their families. NSW Fair Trading’s investigation has found these assertions to be false.
In response to NSW Fair Trading’s investigations, Bondi United has taken down its websites and social media pages. However, the NSW Fair Trading Commissioner remains concerned about this trader. This trader may seek to re-establish itself at another URL and other traders may take a similar approach.
Bondi United has indicated that it will be paying refunds to consumers who contact the business requesting a refund. Requests for refunds can be made via the trader’s published email address at info@bondiproject.com.
Anyone who has dealt with Bondi United and is not satisfied with their interaction, may lodge a complaint with NSW Fair Trading via the NSW Fair Trading website, at any Service NSW centre or call 13 32 20 or www.nsw.gov.au.
